The Supreme Court has dismissed an application by businessman, Alfred Woyome seeking to pay in installment the GHc46 million he owes the state.
In an application for a stay of execution to have the order of the court directing his assets sold, Mr. Woyome said he will go bankrupt if that happens.
He further pledged to pay GHc10 million of the money immediately if the ruling is stayed and subsequently pay GHc4 million every ninety days.
But the Supreme Court dismissed the application explaining that it was unmeritorious and that the business man over the years has not shown any true commitment to refund the money.
