Zion Williamson on Pelicans’ media day. |
New Orleans Pelicans first-year forward, Zion Williamson, continued his stellar performances in the preseason with a dominant double double against the San Antonio Spurs.
He finished the game with 22 points and made 8 of his 13 field goal attempts (72.7%), making it his 3rd consecutive game with 22+ points on 70+ field goal percentage. He also added 10 rebounds to complete the double double and showed up on the defensive end with 2 steals.
Zion, who has been touted as the next big thing in the NBA, has had his fair share of doubters who believe he was only good in college because he faced smaller players and his physique overpowered most of them but he would struggle in the NBA. That hasn’t been the case so far as NBA defenders have found it extremely difficult to stop the 6’6 forward in the first four games of preseason.
