For many youngsters, the dream is to play outside the shores of their country to make the name as well as rake in a reasonable amount of money for their personal use as well as their families.
Thousands of talents have attempted this and almost half have gotten it right.These days the conversation is not on where you play in but rather how much money you are able to bring home at the end of the day.
This is the story of young Ghanaian footballer,Benjamin Akwasi Addo, who hails from Ashaiman in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana but currently a player of Dynamic Togolais.
Benjamin is a young left winger with huge admiration for Lionel Messi,Christian Atsu and Arjen Robben.
It is obvious he would want to play like his idols on the big stage but that wont come without gross recognition of building a huge foundation for development.
The Ashaiman-born youngster believes with hard work and luck he would certainly strike gold in his quest to greatness.
"I play in the Togolese topflight for now but I know it is a stepping stone to get me somewhere.Players like Adebayor, Sadio Mane and many other African players had to start from somewhere and I am a strong believer of this path"
Dynamic Togolais are 4th on the league standings and would be looking forward to improve their records this season.
"We are looking forward to winning the league this year and with hard work we can do it"He added.
They have won the Togolese topflight league six times and are fighting for a spot in the CAF competitions.
